IF IT TAKES US OVER A HUNDRED YEARS TO FIND INTELLIGENT ALIENS, WILL WE (OR SOME PART OF US) BE CONSCIOUS OF IT?

Here's a little of the latest speculation on 'life after death.' Einstein said that energy cam neither be created or destroyed. Many professionals in the field consider the life force to be a type of energy. They use this 'thought exercise' to illustrate the point. Imagine what happens after a person suffers an amputation. Most claim to still 'feel' the missing limb. They complain of 'itchy' feet, or 'aching' muscles. In short, living sensations eminating from dead tissue. Could it be that after the total physical collapse of our bodies, our mind (or soul) can still experience the sensation of life? Does the mind rest in the brain, or does it merely ride in the brain? That  is the question.

If it rests in the brain,it's like a computer and  if the computer gets smashed, it's lights out. But if the mind only rides in the computer (or flows through the computer), the destruction of the mechanism means nothing. Even if you throw your lap-top under a bus, your tweets will still  go on. If ten thousand Spanish flamenco dancers repeatedly pound their heels on your iPad, those pics from senior year keep right on smiling

So we have to find out if we're essentially hard drives or softwear

Who knows? Maybe the Geek Squad can find out...........No matter what you think.....someday they're going to know.
